about

Are they really partners in crime or simply soulmates with a penchant for drama and adventure?

"Endless Highway was originally co-written and recorded during production work on co-writer Ed Haaker's South Seas Sojourn album. Loving the way the track turned out on Ed's record I was inspired to record my own vocal version. So back in the studio I replaced Ed's vocal with my own then re-remixed the song from scratch with Paul Northfield in Montreal."

Allan Thomas is a longtime singer, songwriter, guitarist born in Manhattan and residing on Kauai. His musical path began in the doo wop era and wound its way through folk, rock, blues, soul, jazz and Hawaiian slack key.

Mr Thomas has released 6 studio albums to date and has performed and recorded with Cannonball Adderley, Donald Fagen, David Crosby and Graham Nash among others.

Endless Highway

words and music Allan Thomas and Ed Haaker

It's over and done we're on the run
Feels like a loaded gun
Find a place to hide with you by my side
Your the only one I can ever confide in

Hit the road at twenty-three
Worked on a freighter on the southern seas
Broke the bonds that were holding me in
Vowed never return again

Baby I love you always been that way
Blasting down that endless highway
Sometimes it feels like Bonnie and Clyde
Blessed to have you along for the ride

Live every moment like there's no other
With you there's always something new to discover
From time to time I lose my way
But you never let us get too far astray

Use to give a damn what people thought
But now I know life's too short
I've seen the light through the trees
We come and go as we please

Baby I love you always been that way
Rockin' down that endless highway
Sometimes it feels like Bonnie and Clyde
Blessed to have you along for the tide

Looking outside should've been looking within
There's always pay-back for the wages of sin
The road takes no prisoners for those on the run
Cant stop traveling till our work is done

Been waiting so long to ask you one thing
Will you wear this diamond ring
I'm hoping yes is what you say
Be my partner in crime 'till the end of our days

Baby I love you always been that way
Blazing down that endless highway
Sometimes it feels like Bonnie and Clyde
Blessed to have you along for the ride
